Regression Lab Report:
GDP and Years in School

MISM 2301: Management Information Systems

I worked on a growth lab report to investigate the correlation between a country's GDP and the average number of years its population spends in school.

🎯 Key Objective: To analyze whether there is a strong correlation between these variables and to assess the extent to which education impacts a country's economic performance. While the regression analysis suggests a weak correlation, the project also considers external research highlighting the potential positive effects of education on GDP.

The Top Most Popular Songs on Spotify (2020-2021)

DS 2001: Data Science Programming Practicum

This project was done to analyze Spotify's top most popular songs between 2020 and 2021. The following data points were the backbone of our project: Song Name, Index (Ranking on the Chart), Streams, Artist Followers, Genre, and Artist.

🎯 Key Objective: To decipher the difference between an overplayed song that gains popularity on social media platforms, such as TikTok versus a song people actually enjoy listening to.

Theater Review: William Shakespeare's
A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Globe Theatre

INSH 1600: Cultures of London

This project is a literary comparison analyzing the portrayal of London before and after the Blitz through two poems: "Composed upon Westminster Bridge, September 3, 1802" by William Wordsworth and "Little Gidding" by T.S. Eliot. The paper examines how these authors depict London in different eras, focusing on their use of themes, structure, and literary language.

🎯 Key Objective: To explore the contrasting representations of London in literature before and after the German bombing campaign known as the Blitz during World War II. Specifically, it aims to compare and contrast the themes in Wordsworth's pre-Blitz poem with Eliot's post-Blitz poem, analyze the structural differences between the two poems, including their rhyme schemes, formats, and overall composition, and examine the literary devices and language used by both authors to convey their perspectives on London during their respective time periods.

Literary Comparison:
London Before and After the Blitz

INSH 1600: Cultures of London

This theater review critically analyzes Sean Holmes' modern-day adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night’s Dream performed at the Globe Theatre, emphasizing the production’s chaotic, vibrant, and non-traditional elements, such as audience interaction, exaggerated costumes, and improvisational humor. The review highlights the adaptation’s alignment with the play's central themes of disorder and fantasy, while also critiquing some directorial choices, particularly the unconventional conclusion.

🎯 Key Objective: To evaluate Holmes' interpretation of the Shakespearean classic, discussing how its innovative and progressive elements enhance or detract from the play’s original themes and audience engagement. The paper aims to explore the effectiveness of modern theatrical techniques in reimagining a traditional text while maintaining its core ideas.
